Kiefer Sutherland Makes Nice With Designer, Assault Charge Up in the Air
Today 6:00 PM PDT by Natalie Finn

Unlike Jack Bauer, Kiefer Sutherland has apparently realized that diplomacy can achieve a desired result faster than aggressive physical tactics.

A day after the 24 star admitted on TV to some regretful behavior on his part, the actor's rep says Sutherland and Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough have buried the hatchet since tangling at a party last month.

"I am sorry about what happened that night and sincerely regret that Mr. McCollough was injured," Sutherland said in a joint statement with the designer, who adds: "I appreciate Mr. Sutherland's statement and wish him well."

The 42-year-old Emmy winner is due in a New York court June 22 to answer to a misdemeanor assault charge for allegedly head-butting McCollough at a Met Costume Institute Gala afterparty (supposedly while avenging a perceived slight to Brooke Shields), but their reconciliation could pave the way for a dismissal.

Sutherland said on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon Thursday that the altercation is something "I really regret having happened."

Kiefer

It is no surprise Kiefer's tough-guy charm and chiselled good looks have landed a spot on HELLO! Canada's 50 most beautiful Canadians list, in Issue 129 of the magazine, on sale starting Thursday, May 6.

Kefer

Kiefer Sutherland and Siobhan Bonnouvrier attend 'The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion' Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4, 2009 in New York City.

The Yellow Mark"

Rumor: Laurie and Sutherland Starring in The Yellow Mark?........
Now this is a comic book movie you probably haven't heard of yet. A couple of various international movie sites - Cineman.ch and DesmontandoHollywood - are reporting major casting updates on a project called The Yellow Mark, an adaptation of a classic 1950's Belgian comic book primarily known as The Yellow 'M'. Apparently Spanish director Álex de la Iglesia revealed at a press conference during the Malaga Film Festival that Hugh Laurie and Kiefer Sutherland will star as Blake and Mortimer, the two leads in the film. I'm only skeptical because it would be quite a feat to cast these two TV stars in the same project...........
