The series will shoot the majority of its New York City scenes in Los Angeles, so most of the production will stay in California. Kiefer Sutherland will, though, lens a few establishing scenes here and there in Manhattan, to be spliced in throughout Jack's next very bad day. 24 starts up production on Season 8 at the end of May, with an eye on a January 2010 premiere.
